I've had this problem with every x64 build of Windows 7 on my Asus M4a79 Deluxe.

The fix was to go into the sound properties for the audio, go to levels, and mute the PC speaker.

As soon as I did this, all of the squealing stopped. Hope it works for you, too

    Just installed 2.32

Sounds better, but I still experience some crackle :/

Guess I'll have to wait for 2.33 >:[

Yea i went to acer website and got the vista driver installed that and had the same crackling i then installed the .32 new dirvers over my existing ones and it works fine. You are rebooting twice like it says to install properly right?

Well i downloaded the latest one, released today i think and the crackling is gone so its good so far.
you should wait like a day or so... unfortunately, after the installation it seems to be OK, but after a couple of days, you get all the noise again...
But I'll (of course) give them a go
