"Speaker! Icon in Mixer panel Blanked Out Unable to set as default

Hi I installed the latest Realtek drivers (after a few attempts), now there is no sound after I play online. I went to device manager and right clicked Realtek and left clicked uninstall. I restarted and I let windows install the drivers. Still no sound.
    Here's some screenshots.

i think you need the digital output unchecked /not default, and then maybe it will give the option to set the speaker icon to default,
in fact click on the speaker and set as default it should change and show the tick on it.
having said that , my speaker icon shows as ready when i change it to digital .
have you opened realtek via the control panel to have a look in there ,
there may be a setting you need to apply, or point the jacks to the speakers etc,

Hi I don't have seperate speakers, just using the monitor speakers.
I've opened the audio manager from the control panel and unchecked the digital output and the other digi option, now no device is available.
I need to get my hands on the previous drivers 2.67, any idea were from?

ok , the icons on the asus audio manager seem similar to realtek hd audio manager, and it looks like it is the amd soundcard that is the one you needed on, was it always that way or did you have the other cards as default.

Realtek was the default, and that is Realtek audio manager, there isn't an AMD audio manager.
