I can't hear music when I try to listen to an internetCD

Whenever I watch an internet video I don't hear sound, voice or music. What is not tuned on? Using IE9 browser.

sounds like a flash player issue ,

People on Skype hear when I play music etc
However, they can only hear loud sounds. So for example, if I'm listening to 50% volume on the VLC player, they can hear anything. If I get it to 100%, they can hear it, but not as clearly as I. Is this the microphones fault? Because this randomly started happening.
