Go to your device manager and look under "Sound, video and game controllers". Does your Realetk onboard audio show up? It should say something like Realtek High Definition Audio.

I have the feeling you are very close to getting this solved, I might try the audio driver that came with the mobo and any configuration it asks you to do please do. Once it's recognized and getting sound then we can try the latest mfg's. updates. I'm making dinner so I'm on and off the thread so please excuse that.

In device manager, right click on the Realtek device and uninstall it. If you are asked, tick the box that says to delete the driver files. Reboot, then install from the downloaded drivers from the motherboard manufacturer.

You won't see speakers in the device manager. All you will see is the Realtek audio device.

Do you have a set of headphones you can connect? Let's make sure the speakers aren't the problem.
