please help guys
Go to your device manager and look under "Sound, video and game controllers". Does your Realetk onboard audio show up? It should say something like Realtek High Definition Audio.
it is, its coming up as Realtek High Defintion Audio
I have the feeling you are very close to getting this solved, I might try the audio driver that came with the mobo and any configuration it asks you to do please do. Once it's recognized and getting sound then we can try the latest mfg's. updates. I'm making dinner so I'm on and off the thread so please excuse that.
i already installed the driver from the mobo... that didnt work.
In device manager, right click on the Realtek device and uninstall it. If you are asked, tick the box that says to delete the driver files. Reboot, then install from the downloaded drivers from the motherboard manufacturer.
on it
i rebooted downloaded the driver and rebooted... its still not working. and btw, are the speakers supposed to be recognized or the realtek hd audio?
You won't see speakers in the device manager. All you will see is the Realtek audio device.
Do you have a set of headphones you can connect? Let's make sure the speakers aren't the problem.
its not the speakers... my headphones didnt work and i also plugged my speakers into my ipod and they worked
