    HDMI Audio issues with cable and gfx card...


    Hey guys,
    first time poster here.
    I have a palit 9600gso smart 1gb ddr2 card. i recently bought a viewsonic vx-2253mh LED monitor. now i've hooked up my gfx card with my monitor using a hdmi cable but i don't get any sound. i also have a GB GA G41-M-Combo mobo. i was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem..... thx in advance...

    Did you install the drivers for your gfx card? The HDMI audio drivers will be in the driver package!

    DVI to HDMI adapter? I am guessing yes as I can't find any Palit 9600 GSO's with a native HDMI port. If it is then the DVI port would have to be wired to pass audio when using an adapter. Also it is highly doubtful that the card supports audio over HDMI natively and will require this as well,
