    Sound is blocked on Radio

I recently installed an SSD (clean install) and all of a sudden had no sound from KNX radio

    CBS Los Angeles

    Yesterday, it started working again.
Today I also installed an HDD with a previous install of Windows 7 and the sound is fine.

But the sound is blocked on the SSD.

This is really confusing and any help is appreciated.
I also made an Acronis backup after it started working again.

Is a restore my only option and does anyone know what setting on the SSD could cause this?
    thanks,

    Paul

On the new SSD installation, is the "System Mixer" (could be labeled Stereo Mix) set as the default audio playback device? If not, that could be the problem.

Also, if you didn't install the correct motherboard vendor (or PC vendor as applicable) sound drivers, sound can be a problem. The generic Windows installed HD Audio Codec does not always work and when it does its just basic function audio.

I don't think I was specific in stating that all sound worked, except the radio stream of KNX radio.

Anyway, I found out that I had installed an Ad - blocker, and it was preventing this particular radio stream.

    Thanks for you reply.
