windows 7 audio problems PC to HDTV, no sound

I have been doing research and no success.
    Specs:
    Duo core 2.6
    8800 GT nvidia
    Abit IP35

I have an HDTV toshiba T.V. which I doubt its that, but the computer.

I have installed numerous drivers and I yet to receive sound to my tv. I went to nvidia and there was some things to installed, but didnt seem to work. I installed realtek_233 and I though that would do it since it poped up and it added on my digital audio (S/PDIF) which it didnt say that before but no success.

Image of my computer sound options(click on link its a bigger image that works now):

The weird thing is it jumps as its playing and as soon as I plug in the speakers it works.

I found this on a website and I need to have the icon:

If so How do i get it. I also downloaded this nvidia drivers that I though would do the trick.
190.56 (people said it did it for them, but not for me)

I would really appreciate the help and the support if anyone knows what should I do next.

Right below your recently created thread.

Same problem, with a possible solution.

    liko, welcome to the forums.

Did you remember to connect the SPDIF cable from the SPDIF header on the motherboard,

Sorry for the double post. Ok so I saw the SPDIF port, but I don't have the input (the cables). I was seeing and I have the High defintion A/O and the real teak 97. So from this it seems I need SPDIF cable right? If so which one and how does it connect.

Follow the link I posteed above, it shows you where it needs to go.

P.S. With a Nvidia card you can have all the drivers and software in the world installed, but you won't get audio over HDMI without that cable.

I checked it out also it has 3 pins so I need to buy a cable to connect? The reason is I don't seem to have that cable.

Buy one if you can find one, or make one like it shows in that link using a couple of unused front panel case connectors (if you have any that are unused that is).

Thanks for the fast response. I will see what I do I might ask my friend to do it for me he has more experience. Also with that might I be able to finally get sound from computer to tv?

Once you connect the cable from the onboard SPDIF header to the one on the video card and set it to the proper output in the Windows audio controls, yes.

Also forgot to mention, it only needs to be a two wire/pin connection, not three.
