    Bluetooth Audio Dropout

    Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, never actually used one before but I'm desperately seeking a solution I cant seem to find. I have a Creative BT-D1 bluetooth dongle that I've successfully installed, connected and paired with my wireless Foxl V2 Platinum speakers. The sound is amazing only problem is that if I playback audio with any application for any longer than 5 minutes at a time it seems the audio drops out??? If I'm just poking around the computer or browsing there isn't an issue when its just the occasional short sounds coming through but If I try to play back something with continuous audio like a movie, game or music it will surely enough dropout after about 5 minutes. I don't get it? I tried updating my sound drivers, I tried disabling wifi and other wireless devices around me that may cause interference and what not and it doesn't seem to help. I'm using the dongle as opposed to my onboard bluetooth adaptor because it supports apt-x and gets me better range. If anyone could help me with this your assistance would be much appreciated, thanks guys

Does the PC audio work OK with either a Headset or speakers directly connected to the PC (not bluetooth wireless)? If 'normal' PC audio works OK, its not really an audio problem but something to do with the Bluetooth and/or connectivity. Have you tried your on-board Bluetooth to see if works OK or works the same way? May not even be a problem with the PC end but a problem in the speaker end.

    Hey fireberd,

Yeah the pc audio works fine with a direct connection, that being speakers or headphones, no issues there. The onboard bluetooth adaptor works fine as well and pairs with outta problem, but it only supports A2DP and I really want to make use of the creative bluetooth dongle that supports Apt-x for better audio and range, but yeah it always drops the audio after 5 minutes of continuous playback for whatever reason that may be?

I would suggest reposting this on the connectivity section of the forum. This would appear to be an issue with the Bluetooth, whether its something in the PC or at the speaker end and not with the actual PC audio system.
