Problem Sound (ALC880) + DVD LG

    Hi all.
Problem Sound (ALC880) + DVD LG

    DVD is - LG HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22LP20
    SOUND is - ALC880 8 channel audio

Dvd is installed with Windows7 installation. But somewhere down the line, the drive disapear's from my computer, & when you check Devices, it has a yellow triangle on it. (Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) ).

Cannot get a driver to work for the above sound hardware.

    Anyone help please Apprtd.

have you tried removing the driver??
right click it and then click unnistall...
restart and that should solve the problem (as windows should automatically find the drive and install the driver...)

    Hi
Yep, tried that goes as if installing then fails. On 1st install dvd's are ok, it installs them with a beta file (cdrom.sys) but as i said before somewhere down the line it decides not to use this file, says it's not suitable.
    Thnks anyway.
