    Sound crash and whaaaaat?

Hi this is a wierd problem that i hope you will understand, my english aint too good so please tell me if theres anything you dont udnerstand. Also since it will be a anoying post i will most likely forget to mention some stuff so feel free to ask :)

Okey so i use windows 7 64 bit and for several weaks now everything was nice as hell. Tho lately ive started to play some counter-strike source again and still everything was fine.
So few days ago some friends wanted me to visit ventrilo (v 2.1.4) while i was playing CSS. At the start it was fine but then suddenly it became silent. I could no longer hear any1 in ventrilo but the sound from CSS was still there.
I tabbed out and i could see the green lights in ventrilo when some1 is talking and when i tryed to click on anything ventrilo ****ed up and i had to restart the program. So i tryed that but still it would **** up again. So i thought my sound card (or if thats the english word for it) was broken, to check i started spotify but spotify told me i couldnt play music becouse my sound card was broken or something.

So i went to realtek and installed the latest driver (i had the next to latest driver) reboted the computer but still the same thing would happend.
***Note, if i rebooted my computer i could speak in ventrilo but it would **** up after like 10 minutes of playing css***
So after it ****ed up this time i rage quit CSS and was about to quit ventrilo too but then suddenly i heard a voice.

After i had quit CSS the sound that i heard was the sound that i should have heard when it dissapeared, (the sound from 10 min ago started playing up) and when it was done playing i could finaly hear them in real time again and spotify worked again. I tryed this few times (to start css, play until the sound went to **** it self and quit and the sound allways came back after quiting css)

So i cant really figure out what the problem is here, my thought is that it aint CSS becouse thats the only program i could still hear sound from when the sound card crashed? My guess would be ventrilo but why and how to fix?

Thanks in advanced and have a continuating good day :)

Im not familiar to this program but on the site I noticed they have a program called Ventrilo "Status script" to me this means it monitors the status of your connection.might want to give it a try IF I'm correct. Fabe Ventrilo - Download Product

Nope i havent fixed it yet. Talked to some other friends using windows 7 and ventrilo 2.1 and they have the same problem and some1 said that windows seven isnt working well with any ventrilo yet (maybe only ventrilo 3) so i guess its just to wait and see.

connection is still fine, when the sound is gone.
I thought first that it was because of het usb connection. (powersaving on USB by windows)
