Windows recognize my headphones as speakers

hey, when I plug my headphones to the back panel, windows recognize them as speakers, and by that gives lower sound and it really disturbs in gaming. I tried downloading realtek audio manager but it didn't seem to help either.
Windows default is Front panel = headphones, Back panel is headphones. but my front panel does not work!
any advice how to change the speakers to headphones? It's very important! thanks

    edit:
I succeed to fix the front panel, but even then I'm not getting any headphones mode.
I went into PlayBack devices and I didn't find headphones mode :O what am I suppose to be doing?

Well. I did play with the Realtek HD Audio manager a bit, first of all I took the headphones out, so there was an X over the volume icon near the clock. then I clicked at it and let it run a diagnose

, right after i plugged the headphones back, and the menu of the Realtek HD audio manager popped up, before I ran the diagnose and did these steps, whenever I'd get the HD audio manager with the menu, windows would completely ignore what I applied in the HD audio manager, after running the diagnose it did the job.

    Hope it helped.
