    Headphone Jack No Output

    Hi all
I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB4E4E. Just re installed windows and now I have no sound output through headphone jack. Installed the Realtek HD Audio driver from the sony website. Pretty sure this is not a hardware issue. Any help would be appreciated

Looking at the Screenshot, I see you have High Definition Audio Device and Realtek. Uninstall the High Definition as that is a generic sound driver that Windows installs. Only have the RealTek for your PC sound system.

I notice other devices with errors in the Device Manager. This suggests the reinstall was not done properly or completely. Win 7 will install many devices but not all or what Windows installs may not be the correct driver (e.g. the sound). Get all the needed system drivers from Sony, motherboard chipset drivers first and then any needed device driver.

Generally, on an Install the sequence is (1) Install Windows (2) Install motherboard chipset drivers (3) Install Device drivers including video, sound, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, etc.
