    mute button doesn't work

    Hello,
i have the MICROSOFT WIRELESS OPTICAL DESKTOP 3000 DSP and the problem is that
the mute button doesn't work. I checked with a program that tests buttons if the button have problem but it works perfectly. I just doesn't work in win 7. This problem came after a format. I have also tried through human interface device access to automatic startup but still nothing.

I have installed the latest audio drivers still nothing.
I can't find the drivers for the keyboard.

    Any ideas appreciated.

    Thanks!

Not sure about the DSP part but I did find it for the 3000 series...heres the link. Just select your OS and bit type and download the exe.

another clue is that when i go to speaker properties->levels (tab) and i press mute button the mute icon at the levels tab "moves"or is highlighted but the actuall mute doesn't happen. This again indicates that the mute button works but something doensn't let it to mute.

Also, at a point explorer.exe crashed and after that crash mute was working properly I did a restart and after the restart mute stopped working again

    solved

I solved it! The mousekeyboardcenter-driver fixed the problem. Hope this helps others that have the same issue because it's a really annoying problem.

    Have a nice day all!!
