    assigning specific programs to headphones

    i'm using my HP DV7-7015CA
i'm trying to make it so that only audio from my games go to my headphones (headphone jack) and all other audio goes to the computer speakers.
    how can i achieve this?

This just came up on another thread. You can only have one default audio playback device and thus everything goes to that one device.

On some sound devices, you can configure the speaker and headphone jacks so the speakers are muted when you use the front panel headphone jack or you can configure it so the speakers are not muted when you plug in the headphones. Those are the only options.

i've found this tutorial that does exactly what i want, except it's for computers using realtek manager, which i'm not. (HP uses the Beats Audio)
