I have never heard of this motherboard brand. Nevertheless, it uses Realtek ALC888S audio so seems more audio chipsets are involved. So it definitely seems this is just EQ software issue which needs to be fixed. Strange nobody has noticed this issue so far...
Hehe, yes, that's maybe true :) It is very hard to notice, especially if the 8k band is on its max. Many people does not hear anything above 10KHz :) But I have very good ears and with good headphones it is clearly noticeable. I was still wondering, what the hell happened. Last time when I played this song the quality was better and I did not change anything. And then I've played with bands and noticed this bug. I've sent the bug report to Realtek but nobody answered yet
Btw, what EQ settings do you use ? Mine for Koss Porta Pro headphones are as follows:
31 - 8
62 - 12
125 - 0
250 - (-5)
500 - (-12)
1k - (-2)
2k - (-4)
4k - 0
8k - 12
16k - 10 (well, actually with a bug 0)
It's a bit different especially for low and middles but with heights we are on same boat :) Can you tell me also what version of realtek drivers do you have?
Considering I can't use the 16k I have to play with the 8k frequently at maximum ...
For the Realtek driver I'm using the last versions I guess
