No sound through HDMI Windows 7 64bit

    hey

I'm having some difficulty's to play sound through my HD tv connected through HDMI on my GPU
I just bought a brand new pc and when i first installed windows 7 with the 32 version i experienced sound through my tv ( my tv is my main monitor ) and really liked that option!

After i upgraded my RAM i decided to re install windows 7 and install 64 bit this time
After i did a full driver install of all my hardware i noticed i couldn't play sound through my tv any more..

I did many things to try to fix this and with no success! i went through all my drivers and double checked if i had the right compatible software and re installed the drivers just to be sure!

now when go to playback i can see 3 options:

I cant connect the Realtek HDMI output

My hardware list: moatherboard Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H
    GPU HD radeon 7950

I'm out of clues and need your guys help !

    thx !

I don't know why you have "RealTek HDMI". I have a Radeon HD7770 and my HDMI audio is listed as "Digital Display Audio AMD High Definition Audio Device".

Reinstall the AMD HD7950 video drivers, from the AMD site. Download the complete Catalyst Control and driver.

This is my Device Manager and Sound Panel. You should have something similar. Note AMD High Definition Audio Device in the Device Manager. That is the HDMI audio.

Uninstall both the ATI HDMI Audio and the RealTek High Defintion Audio, in the Device Manager. DO NOT check the box to uninstall the drivers. Then restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall both. You should see AMD Hight Definition Audio and NOT ATI HDMI Audio, which suggests an older driver has been installed.

To uninstall, RIGHT click on an entry to highlight it and then LEFT click "Uninstall".

The yellow triangle as best as I can translate; says unknown device...which is a good indicator of a missing chipset driver. Update date your chipset driver.
