    Sound Card - Asus A6JC

    Hi all,
my notebook is Asus a6jc. It seems to work well with Windows 7, but i have one problem.

Sound card seems properly installed, but it doesn't work at all.

I installed driver automatically... no sounds.
I went to asus site, and downloaded vista 32-bit driver... no sounds.
Installed in compatibility mode... no sounds.
Uninstalled automatic driver and then installed driver downloaded by asus site, or driver agent site... but still no sounds.

Now Windows 7 has the driver version: 6.1.7600.16385 provided by microsoft.
System sees audio working properly (when i play test sounds, i see sounds meter moving... but no sounds exit from speaker or earphones)...

    ...any suggestion?!

Thanks so much sezerkose. That worked perfectly on my Asus A6J (A).

I got the driver from here:
RealTek Audio and Sound Product Models -- Open Drivers
    or here directly:
RealTek ALC880 Driver and Utility - Open Drivers

And it worked fine for me.

One thing though is that the first time I installed it I went to device manager and uninstalled the Microsoft driver. Then when I installed the driver and rebooted Windows came up with installing sound driver automatically, in device manager the driver was still the Microsoft one and the sound did not work. So I installed the driver a again (without uninstalling the Microsoft one first), rebooted and it worked fine. So just open the .exe, install, say yes to reboot and it should be done.

So thanks again sezer, thanks so much. *love heart*

PS: I apologize for the bump, I am new to this forum however I would expect this bump to be acceptable. Just to help people who might have this problem. Though if this post is unacceptable please tell me. Thanks.
