CME UF5 Controller Keyboard with Windows 7, Sonar X2, RME Babyface

I have a CME UF5 and I can't find drivers for Windows 7. I have a RME Babyface Audio/MIDI interface using Sonar X2 Producer. Am I correct in thinking that I simply need to plug a cable from the MIDI out on the CME to the MIDI in on the Babyface? If so, is this the only option? Many thanks in advance.

I have a Sonar X2 Producer studio. I don't have the hardware you have, I have a Roland Octa-Capture and an Edirol PCR500 MIDI keyboard. Windows has "plug and play" drivers for the PCR500 when I plug it into USB. I've never tried running the MIDI through the Octa-Capture.

The Sonar Forum would be the best place to ask your question. There are people there knowledgeable about what you want to do. Not sure which section, probably the "Hardware" section. Cakewalk Forums

Thanks for your reply, but the Cakewalk forum is not the place I need to go! The issue is with the fact that there doesn't seem to be Windows 7 drivers for this keyboard! Hopefully a midi cable will sort this out! Cheers.

Although the Sonar forum is for Sonar, there is also a hardware section and a Computer section for general questions or issues, such as yours. There are many questions there that have nothing to do with Sonar.

I've posted your question on the Sonar Forum. We'll see what comments it gets. I'll post back
or you can follow the post here: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?hi...page=1#2774119

Surprisingly there have been no responses on the Sonar forum. Sorry I couldn't help you.
