Windows 7: MY Computer Knows When I go to Walk Away?

17 Apr 2020   #71

Believe TULEX has it right!
I have an HP Notebook with WIN10. Keyboard went bad, cannot type N's, B's, and few other keys. Bought a cheap Walmart keyboard. Every time I set the laptop down on the floor and get out of the chair the USB disconnect sound chimes, sometimes two or three times. Does not matter if I get up right after I set it down or several minutes after I set it down. Just like it knows I'm walking away. SPOOKY!! Disconnect the keyboard first and no chiming. Tried attaching other USB devices without the keyboard connected and then setting the laptop down and walking away, no chiming. It's that keyboard and the chair, a recliner with steel frame. Tried other chairs and it does not happen, just that recliner.
Glad I found this thread as it was freaking me out!
