press start key, type "msconfig" hit enter, go to "services", select hide all microsoft services, untill only 3rd party apps and add ons show, then click disable all hit enter, "restart" your computer, twice if you have to, then run your audio program and see if it still stutters. if it doesnt, then your problem is in your add ons and 3rd party apps, your welcome!11
Thanks for the instructions,i just spent a couple of hours stopping and running 3rd party apps and add ons and restarting after each one, till i found the culprit which was Malwarebytes pro and the app in the services
    was MBAMService.
So it looks like i'll have to get in touch with Malwarebytes and see if they have a fix for it,and hope i'll be ok with just running Avast IS

your welcome, glad it helped :) for any other computer technical issues, check out Britec09 on YouTube.com he has a ton of ways to help solve your computer issues.

Hiyya ageman it is good that you have had some really good input mate and everything is appreciated, and I am guessing you are quite a cluey young fellow but I think we ought to try the in house "database and experience" first mate instead of referring on to other sites or forums unless it is something very specific that this forum membership cannot solve or else what is the point of having this forum.

Ok as a last ditch effort I think we do have to go outside and I would be a liar if a I said I haven't from time to time but it is usually for stuff that some of the other really clued up members (I am not one as you might have guessed) have themselves been on the rare occasions been stumped.
I am not having a go at you for any other reason and I think that in the future you will become a great asset to this forum and fit in very well. I just think that if you belong to this site then you should be posting what you have real knowledge about and not some Youtube site which while very good does have lot of what I think are misinformed people and poor quality info broadcast on it. That ref you gave for example may be extremely good but like I said I think it only fair to the membership of this forum that we keep it in house as I mentioned before reffing to outside sites.

As a music lover I shall take a look at your material and why don't you post some of it - if you want to in the What are you listening to now thread in the Chill out room? It is a very well subscribed thread with a lot of us regularly watching it.

If you think I am being a little unfair in posting this then please say so as I don't mean to either criticise you for what you have done so far or intimidate you in any way just that I owe this forum a great deal and my loyalty to this forum is my primary reason for making the comments I have.:)

I have Malwarebytes (paid version) that runs in background and it does not cause DPC Latency spikes or problems.
Maybe its how its setup and how often it checks for updates.

Do you have the latest version of Malwarebytes? If not get that and see if it helps.
Yeah running latest MBAM Pro,there seems to be quite a few other's having the same latency problem as me
with MBAM Pro who have tried earlier versions of MBAM Pro but the problem still persists.

Actually Tom you could even uninstall it for that matter then put it back on when it's fixed mate. You can always use the free version for the time being.

Did you get the disk when you got the paid for version? Still if you haven't they would have you on record and you could always say you had to do a reinstall of 7 OS. I cannot remember it is a long time ago I bought mine but there would nearly have to be a activation code eh?
I don't have a problem reinstalling MBAM Pro as i have a serial key.

Yep me too but I just use the free version only cos Kaspersky at times can be a bit finicky with other real time AV's.:)

Just came here to say I had the same problem, drove me nuts. But I found out (as many of you so far) that is was MBAM, I just disabled the "Malicious website blocking." function and everything is fine.

Hello and welcome madblade well mate just be careful running it alongside another real time AV as I said my Kaspersky does not like the real time MBAM only plays with the free which in my mind is sufficient if you have a good basic security suite running.

But you may have seen that it is not advisable to run two AV's tgether anyway.
