    No Speakers or headphones are plugged in


    Hi iv had this problem for about a month now every time i want to use my sound it just says 'No Speakers or headphones are plugged in'
    I have tried everything
    - system restore
    - plug my headphones in but it does nothing
    - uninstalling it/ re installing it
    - keeping it up to date
    and i tried a few other stuff which didn't work for me if anyone has recommendations or can help i will be very grateful.

    Please fill in the "My System Specs". then we will know what PC/hardware we are dealing with.

    Yes, but in the future you could run into the same issue since it's not in your "My System Specs".

    Click on "user cp" at the top of this page and then click on "Edit System Spec" and you can enter your PC info. If you don't know it all just enter what you do know. e.g. if its a factory built PC, the PC Model Number and Manufacturer are important. If its a custom/home built the motherboard vendor and model number are important.

    Model # of laptop is probably most important detail, But...

    What is listed in Device Manager under the heading of Sound, video, and game controllers?

    Anything have Exclamation points next to them?

    One thing I notice from what system specs you posted, the Sound is listed as "High Definition Audio Device" which suggests the generic, basic function, Windows installed sound driver instead of the correct Acer Driver.

    Suggest, as a start, the correct Acer supplied sound driver be installed.
    Since you didn't list the Acer laptop model number, I can't link you to the correct download.
