    HP Sound Problem

OK here goes. I upgraded my HP zd7010us to Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have succesfully found drivers for everything except the Sound Card. I tried using the default Conexant, and some other suggestions but honestly I can't figure out which ones I need.

Here is the link to my computer specs. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00250523&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=353534〈=en

If anyone knows of a compatible sound card driver I would appreciate it.
right now my sound sounds choppy and distorted. Video works fine. Hp doesnt offer any windows 7 drivers for this computer. It has been a good one, I just hate to see the audio keep me from using it anymore... or trying 7 on it!
    Thanks

You might be out of luck as your sound card is a sound blaster 16 bit. KX projest is a third party driver site you might give it a try. kX Project -- USA Download Mirror Try the first one 5.10.0.3550 64 bit. it is a beta version but the stable version is 5.10.0.3538 the last one on the list. It supports the soundblaster live which is probably the closet to yours. Download it to your desktop unpack if needed. then go to your sound card in device mngr click on it and choose update driver then select properties then check run in compatibility mode vista. If this doesn't work go back to it and roll back the driver.
