    No sound

All i know about sound is it for listening to. I'm no tech. The PC I'm on is new with Win 7 premium.

This is what its telling me -
Digital audio (S/PDIF) ear panel optical jack

My basic logitech h/set has a USB connection. What's an optical Jack? How do I get the sound to play via a USB outlet?

An optical jack is a fiber optic connection for the transfer of digital sound via light pulses. To help you with the Logitech issue then we'll need a model number. You can also got to Logitech and pull down a install manual, load driver and such. Most speakers connect with a mini plug or plugs are you sure you're not missing that extra wire connection?

My rig's sound is run off the optical to a high end external DAC into my pre-amp and then a power amp to speakers.....

h/set- usb headsets require drivers to be recognized. When loaded then click on the speaker icon choose playback devices and set the choices to the headset.
