Volume Indicator (not icon) Disappeared - Windows 7 Professional

Recently, when I've been using audio, I have been controlling the volume from my keyboard, and when doing so, a little volume indicator appears while I am adjusting the volume and disappears when I stop adjusting it. However, it has disappeared during the last few days, which I don't understand. If anyone can offer advice on how to get it back, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Hi there ... If you know the exact Model Number of your Dell Laptop .. You should be able to download the software that is needed to run that program .. It has to do with Hotkeys

Thanks, any idea where to download it? I'm running a Latitude E6420, would I need any more specifics than that?

    This might help.
Reboot your laptop. If this doesn't help go to a restore point before the problem happened.

    Hi codyfromcoby,

    Welcome to Seven forums.

Please check the link below for downloading control point software which should resolve this issue:

Also, if it was working earlier then you can try system restore to reach earlier setting to resolve this issue:

    System Restore

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

Layback, thanks! Sometimes, the simplest answer is the easiest, the problem has been fixed with a restart! I appreciate the efforts from everyone else, though, thank you for your assistance!
