    sujex, welcome to the forums.

Your card is one of the few Creative cards that I know very little about,or what it really is. Could you pull the card and post back the model number that is on it, will look something SBxxxx. With that number I will be able to track down whether your SOL, or if there is possibly a modded driver set that will work with it in 7.

I had the same problem with my SB Audigy 2 card (on an Asus P5ND2 SE motherboard). Once I finally got it detected, my outbound sound worked fine, but my microphone stuttered in and out (I reportedly sounded like a dalek).

I later found out that it was an incompatibility issue with my sound card, my motherboard and windows 7. I got a Creative USB sound blaster and it works fine.

I did have the latest drivers from the creative auto updater so that wasn't the problem (Vista x64 drivers work 99 times out of 100 for 7 x64).

I saw a table somewhere on the creative site with a list of all drivers for all sound cards and all OS from 2000 to Windows 7. (incl XP + Vista, both 32 and 64 bit)... but I can't find it anywhere now.

My Audigy 2 is on the list of supported for Windows 7 but DOES NOT work unless you're happy sounding like a dalek with your microphone.

This is all, hope it helps...

The Daniel K Audigy2 drivers work fine with Windows 7. The Creative Win 7 drivers make static noises and are just terrible, which is so very typical for Creative drivers.

I had to get the Daniel K drivers by torrenting.

sujex I think you will find that part of the problem is that your card originally came from Dell. Problem with the Dell cards is that they have a different DevID than the same card directly from Creative. If you can find it in Device Manager, get the full DevID for it. It will look something like this,

    %EMU10K1.DeviceDesc%=EMU10K1_Device,PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0002&CC_040100

and I can walk you through where to put it in the driver files (assuming it doesn't match the one already there.

Not sure why you would need to torrent it, the links to the Creative forum posts for all of his drivers are here,

Google Daniel K or KX Project. Since their are now 501 SBL threads I'm just going to keep it simple. Google Daniel K or KX Project, I don't know how many times I have to repeat this a day, or even in a thread but all you do is:

google Daniel K or KX Project, Either of those projects work for SBL and Audigy's....

Daniel K or KX Project for the EMU10K1/EMU10K2 chipsets, or the SBL and Audigy's.
