    Sound won't stop


    Turned on my speakers only to hear a sound that wouldn't stop. It's the sound, or similar to the sound, that indicates I've turned on a device. Restart doesn't stop it. Never had this problem before. What happened, and how do I correct this problem?

    Figured it out--I think. I hope. I had just updated my Dropbox installation. Seems like the sound was telling me that the Initio default controller driver was out of date, so I updated it. The sound seems to have been a combination of the device disconnect and device failed to connect warnings. It is now gone.

It was working fine then just stop working some unknown reason.
i am using the LOGITECH PC Headset 120 and while using ventrilo other people can hear the sound that is being played into my headset, music or other peaople talking, through my mic. i have been having this problem for a few months now and thought that it was something todo with ventrilo...

Hey...when I start my PC on the sound is working perfectly...but after some long time using it the sound stop working...the sound programs(itunes, winamp) stop working as well...and, mainly when I'm playng Medieval II total War(not original...xP) it happens...someone knows what is happening?
