Front Panel on both builds not working
The Bios has already set up HD on Audio

Most cases come with audio connectors for HD Audio and AC97. The HD Audio connector should be used, but since you are having problems, use the AC97 and see if makes any difference.
As you have two cases doing the same thing, is this with the same motherboard or different motherboards? |

Yeyo as firebird says are they two different boards? In any case check the manual for both and make sure you are using the right headers for the audio. They are usually situated along the edge away from the CPU side of the board.

Try downloading the drivers again Yeyo P8Z77-V LK - Motherboards - ASUS I find it better to update them from the manufacturers rather than the Windows service.

Yes mate I know this is tedious but just check again the cables are in the right header now I don't know but just maybe the contacts on the front panel plugs have got damaged from the previous motherboard frying.
