There's no sound (click) when I open folders on Windows 7.

So Windows is not making the click sound whenever I open a folder. I went to the Sound options at the "sounds" tab where all the Windows sounds are, and I looked for "Windows Explorer" and then "Start Navigation" but there are no sounds to choose from, It's empty. Any idea of what's wrong? Thank you if you reply i appreciate it.

Hello Anna and welcome to Seven Forums.

See if Option Two (change sound events in registry editor) shows Windows Explorer.

    Sounds - Change

You could also use System File Checker to scan your computer's system files to make sure thay haven't been damaged or corrupted in some way.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
