    Audio goes on and off

    The sound keeps going on and off. This box keeps appearing and disappearing on the screen. The graphic is not embedded in the desktop so I cant click on it. When I move the pointer to select it the pointer disappears behind it. It has something to do with the sound but what activates it I dont know. Can someone help?

    Ray,
    Welcome to SF. When did this start, have you recently down loaded or installed anything? Update your AV and Malware and run both to make sure you're not infected. Try restoring back to a point when this wasn't happening after running your AV. You can also go and grab the latest audio driver for your mobo and install that.
