I am frustrated. I have a headset mic with headphones.
    1. My microphone is not working (It worked after I set it up, and now, the little light blue indicator does not show any activity when I speak to it...
I would like to be able to plug in my speakers and be able to change back and forth between the headphones and the speakers.

The headset is plugged in the back of the computer (1.5 mm jacks)
    Thank you for your support.

Glad i found this thread as i noticed the Creative cards i used over time CAN produce great sound, that is if the software wasn't so buggy. My current card exhibits unstable behaviour, at times excessively bassy on one or both channels, or one channel more quiet than the other (has less midrange apparently). This happens after playing music for a while (that is the only use for this card) as in 20 tracks playing nicely then suddenly i click play on another and it all turns bad. I should also mention this happens with or without crystalizer enabled and i use only 2.0 mode. I would attribute this to the audio chain but it is the very best i can do. Recently i took everything apart and rebuilt it from scratch, everything measured and tested to be within decimal precision. It took me months and after all that, the so acclaimed sound card worked perfectly for about a few hours then it went back to "a dime a dozen" kind of sound. In the past i've used Kx driver but apparently my current card is not supported nor will it ever be. So now i can only admire how smooth & classy it looks sitting here on the desk, as there's yet to be a driver update, and i'm not even sure it's driver related, maybe it's hardware.

To those interested: apparently i was able to force it to use the Win 8 X64 new driver and it seems to be stable so far... in a manner of speaking at least, since there are a bit more highs on the left no matter how i tune the amplifier/speakers. Good enough, i suppose. If i want perfect sound i must get used to the idea of getting a $300 sound card or above. Still, for being relatively cheap, it does it's job better than Realtek HDA (and what's even better for me it doesn't rely i hope on CPU power).
