    default devices

    whats up?

so I just bought a new monitor, and im using hdmi and it has internal speakers. however, I also have external speakers, but I do not like to turn that whole setup on unless im playing games or editing. is there a shortcut I can create on my desktop that when clicked sets "hdmi" to default or "external" to default?

I frequently switch playback devices and it's sad that windows can't make this easier. The closest I've gotten is making a batch file on my desktop that simply runs
    Code:
    mmsys.cpl
which is the sound playback panel. This only really saves someone the trouble of right clicking your little sound icon in your tray area and selecting "playback devices" but it's something.
