did you try the vista driver, I have the same system and the vista driver from alienware works fine, I just have a graphics card problem which i will look for on this forum as I am new here, joined so I could reply to this post.

I installed win 7 Ultimate (64bit) expecting to find the same driver void I did when vista 64bit came out. But I'm good to go. The only driver I don't have is for the modem, which I don't need... *note that I previously updated (flashed) my bios when I attempted 64bit vista, which I believe is neccesary...

I recently upgraded my aurora M9700 from vista to Windows 7 ultimate64x, and am having that horrid driver nightmare all over again. :[ After a few hours of zips and manual install, I have all of the drivers...except "Network controller" and "pci modem." Kill me?
