Intel(r) 82801DB/DBM AC '97 Audio Controller

i have recently installed windows 7 signiture eddition (32bit) on my acer travel mate c110 tablet PC,
everything works well except for my sound,
i have tried installing the sound driver numerous times with no success,

i have previously had numerous windows 7 evaluation copies installed on my tablet, and the sound has worked perfectly,

in this install i have done an upgrade from windows vista home premium, before the upgrade my sound worked fine.

the sound card is an Intel(r) 82801DB/DBM AC '97 Audio Controller

any help will be greatly appreciated,

Same problem

I have the same hardware and problem as afore mentioned. The system recognizes the device but says that the driver is either corrupt or missing. I've tried reinstalling in safe mode and disabling driver signature enforcement. Any ideas?
