    Audio Level Coloured Bars

When playing audio, there is a green and a dark grey bar which changes as the audio is played so I am assuming they are level indicators.

Could someone please tell me what they are representing?

It looks to me like the green is the "average" audio level and the gray is the "instantaneous" peaks.

I have a recording studio and tried it with several files and that looks like what it is displaying.

Thanks very much for checking this out :)

By pure chance I was looking at this when I had the volume muted and the green bar did not show at all so that ties in well...
