Sound lags/stops working when running certain Programs

I've only just started to realize this, but my sound will stop working if I have a combo of programs running. Mainly Skype and League of Legends. When I have those two on, more LoL, my audio stutters or just won't work at all. I'll get problem with playback device on Skype. I've updated my drivers and disabled bandwidth hogs, but I can't seem to get it to work.

If this isn't the right forum for this please feel free to move it, I figured it might be audio.

Both of those use audio and if both are active at the same time it can cause a sound conflict. Usually only one audio application at a time can be used.

I updated my specs using the program.

I know they both use audio, but this problem has only recently come up. I've had this laptop for about 2 years and it has never done this before. I would be able to be on Skype, have music playing from YouTube/Pandora, and have game audio playing as well. It never stuttered or not worked like it is now. I haven't changed anything either in the time I got it and now, I avoid all potentially unsafe sites, and I don't download sketchy files. I don't know what could have caused this.
