    WMA Audiobook/Overdrive Media Console


    I have 64 bit Windows 7 and Media Player 12, fully updated. Downloaded and installed Overdrive Media Console and downloaded a WMA audio book from my local library. The audio book will not play on Windows Media Player or using the Overdrive Console. Media Player indicates there's a problem and refers me to a web site which did not really address the problem.

    I've done web searches and tried everything that has been suggested, including changing option settings on Media Player and using Internet Explorer to download the security update for Media Player (which is apparently required to play DRM files). Nothing has worked so far. I have no problem playing songs or viewing videos using Media Player. The audio book was definitely downloaded as I can see the various chapters under the "My Media" folder under Documents.

    Any ideas or suggestions on what I might try. From looking at various web sites, I suspect the problem might be related to DRM rights, but I'm not sure.

    I am new to this Forum and I have exactly the same problem. I wonder if any ever figured out how to fix this.

Thanks for reading. I download audiobooks from the library. With my new computer, Win 7, when I try to "open" an .odm file I get message that the computer can't open this file because the file is incompatible with 64-bit system, that the file supplier should be contacted. I can't find...
I added a new folder under the "Libraries" and linked it with source audio file(mp3) folder. But Media Player does not recognize new folder, and could not find any hint in the Media Player Help. Teach me how to re-organize, to add new library addition to default Music library, Media Player.
It seems to me that XP's recovery console is somewhat better than the one that comes with Vista or 7, unless someone can point me in the right direction for finding further documentation on this topic. The main difference is the lack of ability to tinker with services (LISTSVC / ENABLE / DISABLE...
ATI Overdrive
in Graphic Cards

is the ATI overdrive function safe to use as im sure it is and i was going to use the auto clock facility also for some reason all the overdrive options are greyed out and wont let me edit them does any 1 know why this is?
