    Concerning X-Fi ExtremeMusic

Hey guys I am wondering, does anyone notice their computer crashing somewhat randomly and then booting back up without detecting a sound card or booting back up with a soundcard detected but no audio? I got the June 26/09 drivers but sometimes this happens to me. It occurs the most when I am browsing the net and some random advertisement is playing audio. If anyone has a similar problem or a fix, feel free to share.

    Maybe it's from your driver!

Hmm, maybe it is the driver but I dont know what other driver I should use. Creative has the Windows 7 one under beta and official release, perhaps I need to wait. Just find it an odd occurance.

    Try using this,

SB X-Fi Series Support Pack 2.0 (05/15/2009) - Sound Blaster - Creative Labs

    instead of the beta's.

Using the latest drivers (beta) from creative, no problems here.

Hi, first post here sorry if I have not got the protocall. I am running 7 enterprise 64x with the x-fi extreme music and have tried the Dell (OEM) vista 64, creative 6.0.1.1373 driver currently. Driver shows as installed and working, fails all sound tests, programs realize it is not working. Have tried beta drivers as well. even bought a rockfish 5.1 as "known good" took some time to get all that off the machine that it left. Clean installed again with all drivers gone after cardless reboot, no help.
lead me to the promised land.

For all 20K1 Retail card owners, please use the driver in the Legacy folder.

For OEM and SI Bulk cards owners (SB077X series), please use the driver in the Hendrix Folder,

The drivers Stormy posted worked fine for me and eventually I started using the most recent ones from the Creative site without a problem.
