Soundblaster Live! 5.1 Win7 Compatibility

I know that Creative has stopped supporting the SB Live! 5.1 way back in the day, but I was hoping anyone would know of a way to force it to function in some way. I've heard a lot about this Daniel_K guy, who's been making drivers for old Creative cards, but I can't really find anything for my Live! card that is native to Win7.

Alternatively, I've installed the official WinXP drivers on Win7, and they work to an extent. I'm getting very odd distortion (echoes) when I play any audio. I'm grateful the audio works decently, but the echoing is really grating. Can anyone help me find a new driver for this card, or at the very least walk me through setting up the XP driver?

You know, after all this work, I'm starting to consider whether or not I should get a card made sometime in this decade...

Again, thank you. It worked. At first there was SEVERE distortion, but I played around with my audio settings and now everything's smooth. This is exactly what I needed.

Now to post about my problem with my ATI card...

I downloaded too this druver update, so now which one to select to update cuz i have one chance.
