    No 2.1 audio channels

Hello I just bought a 2.1 Logitech speakers. The problem is, there is no bass going to the subwoofer, and also there is no option to select 2.1 audio channel.

    Other info.
    • Subwoofer is connected to AC
    • If I connect my phone and play a sound, the subwoofer works.
    • Realtek HD audio manager is up to date.
    • Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.

EDIT: I just found the sound & audio thread. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum.
    EDIT2: Thank you for moving.

You're missing a key component on that screen. To get 2.1 sound out of the stereo jack, you need HD Audio AND the option for Full Range Speakers. To check the driver in use, click on the "I" in the lower right corner of the window. (Just above OK)

This image shows the Full Range Speaker option. I get window-rattling bass out of my cheap 2.1 system.

After clicking the "Display icon in notification area" it does not do anything.

Maybe you can help me via team viewer?

I don't do Team Viewer. "Display icon in notification area" is not what I'm looking for. Post a snip of the Information window when you click on the I. Leave everything else alone. :)

The only thing I see is the ALC272 Codec. That supports two channel stereo which should include full range frequencies so I'm not sure why the base isn't coming through. The thing is, this must match the Chip used in your PC. Where did you get the "updated" drivers? The drivers should come only from Lenovo that match your exact PC model.

Also, please proved the complete model number for your Laptop.

You might try downloading and installing the drivers from Lenovo Support. They may have specific INF installers for your model. The hyperlink (blue letters) is for Canada English but you can change it using the selection at the top of the page.

Click on "Drivers and Software" under the header "CHOOSE THE SUPPORT YOU NEED".
