    Audio device not installed

Hi guys, I really appreciate for those who helping. My Sony Vaio has installed Windows 7 Ultimate for a long time ago. But recently, my audio has muted or whatever has happened. I tried to look up the sound system in Device Manager, none of the system listed is related to sound or audio. Troubleshooted also not helping. Not to forget, I have tried Recovery System as well to about a week before this and nothing happen. I have looked up into few forums to find the solution. Most of it is ask to try Realtek, but unfortunately, I downloaded and installed it until its asked to restart the computer and still nothing changed. Is there any others possible way to solve my problem before i format and change OS?

    Regards,

Have you tried downloading and reinstalling the drivers from Sony's website? Just to let you know that model of laptop that you have came with windows Vista Business if not here is the link to the drive. as well as if you wish you could reformat and return to windows Vista and that way you will know every thing is going to work the way Sony intended it to work. Also you can try downloading CCleaner and try cleaning the registery and removing junk files off your hard drive and then reinstall the drivers from Sony's website, might be something as simple as a dirty registry key.

    VGN-TT16GN : TT Series : VAIO&reg Notebook & Computer : Sony Asia Pacific

The link below will let you download drivers, although when you select Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit then you need to select OS/Upgrade or Downgrade and scroll down the page and you will see the audio drive.

Support for VGN-TT16GN : TT Series : VAIO&reg Notebook & Computer : Sony Asia Pacific

Please let me know if this helped you and if this helps you please give Rep.

    Thanks RitualJman
