Need EQ software for SB Audigy SE

    Hi,

I recently hooked-up Logitech Z506 5.1. With MUCH tinkering with the onboard realtek sound I couldn't get sound from the rear speakers, so I purchased an audigy se card from amazon, turned off the onboard sound in the bios, installed the card n drivers and viola...I got the rears working.

I read bad reviews about using the driver CD in win 7x64 so I downloaded drivers from creative site. They work ok but there is no EQ, and in some movies like streaming SG-1 it's sometimes hard to hear speech.

Anyone know of EQ software that would work here ?

Oh, My center speaker is not too audible either.

    Thanks

EQ is not the problem. What player are you using for videos? Many have their own configuration options for audio to get better surround sound.

The Audigy SE is a relatively old hardware sound card. They were originally issued in the Windows XP days (I had one in an old Dell Dimension E510). When I upgraded to Vista, the Audigy SE worked but the new creative drivers for Vista didn't have all the available functions that the XP drivers had.

Well that flik in question was Stargate, streamed thru amazon prime in Firefox n silverlight n flash.

But while i was writing to you the first time I was watching RED in windows media player and it sounded great and yes I seen the EQ in that.

Audigy is that old, huh. Well I'm catching up.
