    Sound settings reset after reboot

    Hi,

I'm having lots of problems with Windows 7 64-bit.

One of them is that my sound settings (volume, bass, surround sound, etc...) are being reset every reboot.

I'm using the Creative X-fi Xtreme Gamer sound card with the latest Windows 7 64-bit drivers from their site. I've disable UAC, messed around with permissions and nothing seems to work. I have to go into the audio settings every time I reset!

    Please help! Thanks

do you play games or play dvd movies on your computer? I have the same problem that you have and everytime a dialogue comes, like 2 people talking to each other in a DVD movie, or sometimes in video games the sound is really really soft...

same problem, I use zoom player, first use I had to jack it up to 80% from very low.

after a reboot it resets back to the default low setting, I can see this been a pain if every app starts doing this.

Sorted this one out myself. Creative were at fault with either their hardware or driver. Basically I switched to an Asus Xonar soundcard and never looked back since!!
