    Sound pls really need help


    Hello i am new to the forums.I'v dual booted windows 7 with my old windows xp long ago.Appears that windows xp got the sound but 7 doesn't.I didn't have sound for so long that i decided to post here you are my last hope :).So i am pretty sure that sound isn't muted and speakers are set to default.
    As far the drivers go there's no any /!\ in device manager. and as i said it works on xp. So please help me with this.Thanks you!
    And i am running Cpu:Pentium(R) Dual core

    I think we need a bit more info about system specs to be able to help; so please post any relevant specs you have.

    Also what else do you need?
    *note* i keep windows updating every time.Troubleshooter doesn't find any problems and DirectX diagnostic says no problems found

Brand new Windows 7 Home Premium (6 bit) computer. When I click on the Sound control panel item, sometimes it takes 1-2 minutes to open. But that's kind of minor (although I'd like to know how to fix it), because sometimes the HDMI sound to my HDTV works fine, and sometimes it doesn't work at all....
