Stereo Mix giving awful echos - tried everything...
Hi everyone.
Here is my predicament: I am using a music production program called Cubase to play live piano music over Skype. I am using 'CamStudio' At the same time to capture the live screen and audio. I also talk into the mic.
To do this I need to use the stereo mix option, but it unfortunately has a crippling destructive feedback echo!!
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have struggled with this issue for a few months now and am tired of it. Should I just do a complete re-install of all my sound programs?
I use ASIO4ALL with the Cubase I don't know if that helps...
Some other things that may help...
- I can record the video fine on cam studio but it is not recording the audio, to do that I need to put my stereo mix sound up, but that causes echos. At a volume level of about 7 I can get the audio to record on cam studio but it is too low to be useful, any higher and the feedback starts.
- My default playback device is a C-Media PCI Audio Device.
- Under recording I have "Microphone: 2 audio device" set as my default communications device and "Sterio Mix: C-Medial Audio device" set as my "Default Device".
- Other sounds like youtube and system sounds work fine with stereo mix all the way down.
Thanks for listening!
