Is the "Speakers" set as the default audio playback device?
Please post a screenshot of the Sound Panel, Playback Section and the Device Manager Sounds section.

Everything looks correct.
Go to the Device Manager, RIGHT click on the RealTek entry to highlight it and then LEFT click "Uninstall". DO NOT uninstall the drivers. Restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound. This fixes a lot of problems and may fix yours.
Did Windows install the HD Audio Code driver?
Have you tried connecting the headset to the rear GREEN speaker jack?
Yes, I tried plugging it into the rear audio jack but it still didn't work
One other suggestion. I assume this is a desktop. Disconnect the front panel headphone/mic connection to the motherboard. (do this with the PC powered off). Generally that connection is on the lower part of a motherboard. If the front panel were causing the problem this will correct it.
If this does not fix it, there may be a hardware problem???
Did this ever work?
With everything that has been done, I would now suspect a hardware problem with the sound chip.
