[Fatal1ty Creative Headphones] Mic isn't working.

    Hello!
My problem is that my mic on these headphones will not pick up any of the things i'd like to say anymore.
I've had these Fatal1ty Creative Headphones for a year now, and I haven't had any problems in the past.
If someone could explain how i could fix this issue, that'd be great.!

    Oh, and also to note:
In Control Panel> Hardware & Sound> Manage audio devices> Recording, I do not get any green bars when i try to speak into my mic, and messing with all the properties settings does NOTHING.

Any help with GREATLY be appreciated!
I want to skype call a friend, but he cannot hear me at all because of this problem

Hi Goldtiger01 and Welcome to Seven Forums
I have a pair of those headphone and the first thing I would check is the mic on off switch on the chord / cable where the rotary volume control sits. If that is off the mic is muted. Have you done anything to the software or hardware on your machine? Please fill in your system details for further troubleshooting.

The switch, is in fact, on. (Not Muted)

I didn't do any changes to the system before when the mic was working, it appears there may be an error with my sound card due to research on the internet, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

    My System Details are:
    AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor (3.50 GHz)
    RAM of 16.0 GB
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1Operating System
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti Graphics Card
    BIOSTAR Group TA990FXE MotherBoard
    (1) NVIDIA High Definition Audio (2) High Definition Audio Device (3) NVIDIA High Definition Audio (4) NVIDIA High Definition Audio (5) NVIDIA High Definition Audio Sound Card
    WDC WD2003FZEX-00Z4SA0 ATA Device HDD

Hope any of this information helps!
    And Thanks for Responding!

OK The next thing to try is to install your sound card / on board audio drivers.

If you can try the headphones on another PC as the mic could be defective.
