    Sound card not installed

I have the HTOmega striker 7.1, and I cannot get windows to recognize it. I try to load the drivers and it says that "there is no device installed". This card worked perfectly in my XP media center ed. But I have been fighting with this a couple of days trying to get this thing sorted. I have the onboard sound off in the bios. This is in windows 7 home premium. Any and all help is appreciated.

Go into device manager and post a snip of it so we can see if their are any triangles or problem devices. Thanks and welcome to seven forums . Fabe A Preferred Method of Uploading/Posting Screen Shots

Well after working on it last night for about another hour I decided to try my razer barracuda ac-1 and it loaded right up. I tried my striker in my gaming pc and it still was not recognized, so I think that the card is finished. I dont know how to close this thread, if a moderator wants to close it or delete it that would be fine with me.
    Thanks,

I have the same problem. I downloaded drivers that worked with XP and it isn't being recognized. Here is a snip of my device manager.

This one the gateway notebook in your specs,

or a desktop? If a desktop the make and model of the computer (or motherboard) would help.

I think onebxr meant there was a problem with the card itself, not the driver.

If it is a laptop, then how and why are you trying to install the drivers for a desktop sound card?
