I don't see this model listed in the current models at Advent. Is this a PC that was upgraded from XP? and if it was has the sound ever worked?

my parents bought it for me from a relative a couple Christmases ago and it's always worked perfectly until around June time and the sound just won't work it had a windows 7 sticker on when I got it so I assume it's always been windows 7

Please post a screenshot of the Device Manager, Sound section.

Also, what is shown in the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound Panel Playback section? (Your "Speakers" should be set as the default playback device).

the only reason there is a sound, video and game controllers section is because i went to add legacy hardware and tried to install a audio driver.

As shown, no audio device is installed. Just some TV module.
Check the BIOS, make sure the audio (may be labeled legacy audio) is enabled. If its enabled, and Windows compatible, Windows would have installed the generic, basic function, HD Audio Driver. That is not there so there is no sound module detected.

You can also "scan for hardware" in the Device Manager. Click the Action tab.
