Headphones not being detected in Windows 7

FIXED - SOLUTION BELOW IN REPLIES

    Hi all,

I recently formatted my Windows 7 computer because I needed to clear off a load of junk.

I installed my regular programs and installed my NVIDIA drivers for my NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 graphics card. It installed everything fine and I restarted.

Now, I plugged in my speakers and headphones and no sound comes out my headphones, they're not even detected by my computer. My speakers work fine, and they're the 'Speakers' in the image below. My headphones are in the front port of my computer.

(I am using Windows 7, my theme is just Windows Classic ).

Everything worked perfectly before the format. Any and all help will be much appreciated!

I fixed the issue by downloading Realtek HD Sound driver.
