    Hi, Oscer
the ubuntu download size is nearly 1 g b. My download speed is 60kb per second. So, i will try this later.
For your information, I tried microsoft fixit portable to test the audio. First i got the error of initializing. I updated to 3.5 net frame work and i could run it. It shows no problem and no fix has been used. Still the speaker sound or computer sound is still not there.
When hardware is found, is it not sure that it is drivers that has some issue?.
Downloading ubuntu is my next try. I think i have to run the machine all the day to complete. I have frequent power cuts and without resume download, it is very tough task for me.
    Hope you understand my problem.
Update: The speaker in the system devices in Dev manager shows no drivers are installed for this device. What does that mean. Is there any special drivers for speakers alone

    Hi,

My laptop speakers do not give any sound. I tried all Sound max drivers, uninstall and reinstall options.
I also uses microsoft fixit portable and it does not show any problem,
I also updated drivers from HP website for the laptop HP 540 notebook. I updated Bios, sound drivers and bluetooth drivers. When i uninstall all the drivers, it found new hardware and asked me to give the source. I cancel and download the adisound max drivers from the HP site, but still no sound.
I tried dx.diag sound test and no sound is the result.
When i open the Dev Manager and System devices, the speaker item in the system device says no drivers are either required or no drivers have been installed for the speaker. Does that mean speaker is my laptop speaker or some other speakers.
How to test the sound. Since the hardware is found, i think that it is a problem in drivers. But how to fix the no sound problem?. Realtek audio , could it be possible to fix this issue

hi at this point i would try a repair install of the OS. if that doesn't correct it then i would back up any file pictures you want and to a fresh install. if you do the fresh install and have same problem then i would have to say it is hardware related.

I happen to agree that a fresh install of the o.s. is probably the way to proceed at this point. Because it sounds like for whatever reason; something may have corrupted the sound card drivers, etc. and in fact yes it could very well be hardware related at which point if its a laptop; i would take it to someone that might be able to fix it because it does sound like a definite hardware issue as well.

    Hi, all
How to check the internal speakers. Microsoft found new hardware and if i install the adisoundmax driver, this pop up stops, meaning that sound card drivers are ok.
How to check the internal speakers with other computer. Is there a way, I have one headphone jack and uparrow jack at front. What can i do to check whether the problem is only on the hard ware, that is speakers. can i plug the jack and test the sound in the uparrow?. Will it test the sound, or should i take to somebody to replace the speakers. Is there any method by which i could see that speakers are live or dead?. Laptop speakers were supplied with the laptop.

hi well the only way i know to test the speakers would be taking the laptop apart and taking speakers and sound board out if separate from motherboard and hooking it up to another compatible laptop. so your best option is to bring it in to have it diagnosed. then deside on if its worth the cost of fixing or getting a new laptop.
